Cafe Intermezzo - Lins

I’ll start at the very beginning, a very good place to start.

Incredible location, tucked off Peachtree Road in that really cute patch of upper downtown, lower buckhead - known as Brookwood. Our tiny cafe table was in the front window overlooking the bustling street. I’ve never been to Europe, but I’m pretty sure thats exactly what it feels like.

Already in a state of bliss we opened the menu, or as it is labeled: The Beverage Book. Three pages of contents, followed by 50 pages of fabulous drinks. True european coffees of every variety, teas, coffee imbibed with liquor, mixed drinks, wines, beers, mineral waters, absolutely any tasty beverage one could imagine.

With a drink menu this extensive, we had to plan our meals carefully. My arrangement was a traditional cider whiskey (see a trend emerging??) paired with a turkey & brie crepe topped with a strawberry demi-glaze. Absolutely incredible. Every morsel. So exceptionally good.

Then came dessert. We went on a tour. Literally. We toured the cheesecake selections and specified which slice we wanted. I chose the turtle cheesecake and had a european mocha with shots of butterscotch liqueur and whiskey. For the record, never trust any other institution with such a concept. Only Cafe Intermezzo, with all its Italian know-how, could pull off a drink like that. It was heaven.

In short, get in your car now. Go go go. Off the charts good. I didn’t even care that our waitress was aloof. This place is extraterrestrial. And I mean that in every Katy Perry way imaginable.

Lin’s Rating: 25  Perfect 10…or 25 in this case. Lets go again and again and again. If you ever come to visit, I will drag you here.
